LaCresha Vaulx

Christ Temple proudly shines the spotlight on Sis. LaCresha Vaulx.  She comes to Indianapolis from Gary, Indiana, and has been a member of Christ Temple sinceAugust 2014.  In her hometown of Gary, Indiana, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, is where LaCresha met her first love, Jesus Christ. It is there where she wasbaptized, and Holy Ghost filled. LaCresha began her pursuit of her God given purpose and relocated to the city of Indianapolis.

LaCresha later became a member of the Open Door Church of Deliverance in 2005.  At Open Door she served as president of its Missionary Auxiliary, as an altar worker, and as the outreach ministry leader. She remembers Evangelist Bernie Hubert of Open Door Church of Deliverance as being very influential in her life. Evangelist Hubert was her spiritual mentor who groomed her to be arespectable young lady who represented holiness, wholoved the Lord, and was faithful and dedicated to the ministry.  

Sis. LaCresha’s favorite song is, “His Eye is on the Sparrow. Her favorite scriptures are:

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence, And do not take the Spirit of Your holiness away from me,” Psalm 51: 10 – 12.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” Jeremiah 29:11.

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knowethright well,” Psalm 139:4.

Sister LaCresha attended Western Governors University.  She received a Bachelors Degree in Accounting in 2015, and a Masters Degree in Accounting in 2018.  She is currently employed as a Staff Analyst/Accountant.

Sister LaCresha is very grateful for the wisdom of the elderly saints at Christ Temple.  Their wisdom has the potential to prepare an upcoming generation in service to kingdom building.” Sis. LaCresha says, “I admonish the youth ministry of Christ Temple and its leaders in their perseverance to walk with Christ especially in such a time in which we live.

Presently, Sister LaCresha is a faithful worker in the Christian Education Department, Christian Academy Board, and the Sound Room Ministry. She enjoys the ministry of servant-hood and encouraging others who have lost their way.

Sister LaCresha has one son, Trevon Thomas.  Trevon is an eighth grader at St. Luke Catholic School.  He also attends Christ Temple Sunday School in the Middle School Department and is a faithful worker in the Sound Room and Dining Ministry, and Youth Usher Ministry.
