Our Church
Welcome and thank you for visiting Christ
Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly Online. Christ Temple was established in 1908 by our founder
Bishop G.T. Haywood. We were the first Pentecostal church built
in the Midwest. Being the first, Christ Temple was a well spring for many driven and spirit inspired men of God.
Virtually every pastor of a major Pentecostal church practicing the Apostolic doctrine in Indianapolis
can trace their roots and teachings to Christ Temple. This holds true for many ministers around the country as well
- for this reason Christ Temple is hailed as the "Mother Church". We still believe, as it was taught at the beginning,
in the 'Gift of the Holy Ghost', and the evidence there of by speaking in other tongues.
Christ Temple has been a P.A.W. (Pentecostal Assemblies of the World) member for over thirty years. Our mission
as an organization is to love and to serve, and spread the message of God.
We have many ministries and auxiliaries. Please
click here and see which one
is most fitting for you, if you would like to become active in our church family.
Our pastor, Suffragan Bishop Charles M. Finnell, is a native of Indianapolis.
When he accepted Christ Temple's invitation to become its eighth pastor, he was pastoring the Apostolic
Lighthouse Church in Bloomington, IN, which he founded in 1980.
